At Sprung Gym Flooring, we have always believed that exceptional training environments start from the ground up. The right surface does more than complete a space visually. It supports performance, protects users, reduces noise, improves durability and helps a facility stand up to years of daily use.
Today, we are pleased to introduce Superstrata, our new sister brand created specifically for commercial specification projects.
Superstrata has been built for architects, designers, contractors, developers and operators who need high-performance surfaces for premium fitness, wellness, hospitality, workplace and mixed-use environments. It brings together specialist materials, refined design options and specification-led support in one dedicated brand.

Why we created Superstrata

Over the years, the Sprung Gym Flooring team has worked with thousands of customers across the UK and beyond, from independent gyms and home training spaces to large-scale commercial fitness facilities. That experience has given us a clear view of what the market does well — and where it can do better.
In many commercial projects, flooring is specified late in the process. It is often treated as a practical requirement rather than a key part of the design, acoustic and performance strategy. Yet in fitness and wellness environments, the floor is one of the most important elements in the building.
It needs to look right. It needs to perform under pressure. It needs to meet the expectations of users, operators and design teams. It also needs to be easy to specify, install and maintain.
We saw a clear gap in the premium specification market: a need for a brand that combines performance-led surfacing with a more considered, architect-focused service.
That is why we built Superstrata.
Built on Sprung’s flooring heritage
Superstrata is a new brand, but it is not starting from scratch.
It has been developed by the team behind Sprung Gym Flooring, drawing on years of practical flooring expertise, product knowledge and real-world project experience. Through Sprung, we have helped a broad customer base choose the right flooring for strength zones, free weight areas, functional training spaces, cardio zones, studios and multi-purpose environments.
That background matters.
We understand how fitness flooring behaves in busy commercial settings. We know the difference between a surface that looks good on day one and one that continues to perform after years of heavy use. We know the importance of impact absorption, slip resistance, acoustics, cleanability, installation detail and long-term value.
Superstrata takes that knowledge and applies it to a more specification-led audience.
A premium surface brand for considered commercial spaces

Superstrata has been created for projects where performance and presentation carry equal weight.
The brand focuses on premium materials, elevated finishes and commercial-grade solutions that support the needs of modern fitness and wellness environments. Whether the project is a boutique training studio, a hotel gym, a luxury residential amenity, a corporate wellbeing space or a wider leisure development, Superstrata is designed to make surface specification clearer, more confident and more design-conscious.
The range has been curated with architects and specifiers in mind, offering surfaces that can contribute to both the technical and aesthetic success of a project.
That means materials selected for durability, comfort and performance. It means finishes that feel appropriate in premium interiors. It also means support that recognises the way commercial projects actually move, from early design conversations through to specification, procurement and installation.
Designed to support architects, designers and project teams
One of the key reasons for creating Superstrata was to provide a more focused service for professionals working on commercial projects.
Specification teams often need more than a product page. They need clear technical information, finish options, samples, guidance on suitable applications and confidence that the chosen surface will meet the demands of the space.
Superstrata has been designed to support that process.
The aim is to make it easier for architects, interior designers, contractors and developers to select premium fitness and wellness surfaces with confidence. By bringing together product expertise and project-focused support, Superstrata gives design teams a dedicated point of reference for commercial specification.
It is a natural next step for our business and an important addition to the Sprung family.
Why now?
Fitness and wellness spaces have changed significantly in recent years.
Gyms are no longer purely functional rooms hidden away at the back of a building. They are increasingly central to residential developments, hotels, workplaces, universities, private clubs and mixed-use destinations. Users expect these environments to feel considered, comfortable and well designed.
As the expectations of these spaces have risen, so too has the importance of the surfaces within them.
A premium fitness space needs flooring that supports the training taking place, but it also needs to sit comfortably within the wider design scheme. It needs to feel intentional. It needs to work hard without looking purely utilitarian.
Superstrata has been created to meet that standard.
A sister brand with a specialist purpose

Sprung Gym Flooring will continue to serve customers looking for high-quality gym flooring across a wide range of projects. Superstrata gives us a dedicated platform for premium commercial specification, allowing us to provide a more tailored experience for architects, designers and project teams.
The relationship between the two brands is simple: Superstrata is our sister brand for specification-led commercial surfaces.
It carries the same commitment to quality, expertise and customer support that has shaped Sprung Gym Flooring, while introducing a more refined approach for premium projects.
