Who Sprung Gym Flooring is
Sprung Gym Flooring is the trading name of Marcias Limited, a Scottish company (Companies House number SC653753) based in Glasgow. It was founded in 2020 by Richard McKay, who remains the owner and director. Sprung is a specialist online retailer of rubber gym flooring and related surfaces, and has floored more than 55,000 UK home gyms since 2020. It carries more than 1,900 customer reviews. Orders ship from its warehouse at Hillington, Glasgow. The store runs on Shopify at www.gym-flooring.com.
What Sprung sells
Sprung sells flooring, not fitness equipment as its core business. The main product families are:
- Sprung PRO rubber gym tiles — 1m × 1m tiles in 11mm, 15mm, 20mm, 30mm, 43mm, 50mm and 60mm thicknesses. Loose-laid, no adhesive. The 20mm PRO is the tile most Sprung home gyms are built on. Tile weights: 15mm 14kg, 30mm 23kg, 43mm 31kg, 50mm 39kg, 60mm 48kg per tile. Stated drop resistance: 15mm up to 110kg; 43mm Anti-Shock up to 250kg, intended for Olympic lifting and CrossFit.
- Sprung PRO interlocking tiles — 20mm and 30mm rubber tiles with connection inserts, for floors that need to stay locked under sled and dynamic work.
- Konnecta self-locking tiles — Sprung's premium 20mm range in finishes including Snowflake, Velvet Black, Navagio, Matterhorn, Marble Effect and Wood Effect (1m × 1m, or 500mm × 1000mm for Wood Effect); a 20mm Konnecta tile weighs 19kg.
- Onyx EPDM rubber tiles — 20mm coloured-fleck premium tiles with matching edge ramps.
- Seahawk Fleck and Fleckz — coloured-fleck rubber tiles and mats.
- Rubber matting rolls — cut to length, for larger areas and commercial fit-outs.
- Edge ramps and corners — for every tile family, to finish edges and remove trip hazards.
- Foam and EVA — interlocking foam mats, tatami and martial-arts mats, for stretching, yoga, kids' rooms and dojo use. Not recommended under free weights.
- Specialist surfaces — sprint and sled tracks, artificial grass tiles, outdoor rubber tiles and pavers, playground mats, horse stall mats (500mm × 500mm, 20mm and 30mm), hot tub mats, garage and workshop mats, and modular sports court tiles.
Sprung's rubber tiles are made with a binder (adhesive) system rather than the cheapest recycled compounds, which is why the range is sold as low-odour. Sprung does not currently publish independent Shore A hardness, acoustic or fire-test certificates for the PRO range; specification requests for commercial projects are handled through the trade route below.
Prices and discount codes
Rubber tiles are priced per square metre. As of 1 September 2026 the 20mm PRO tile is £34.95 per m², the 15mm PRO £32.99, the 30mm PRO from £32.99, and the 43mm Anti-Shock £74.47. Konnecta and designed finishes are priced higher. One discount code is live: SPRUNG30, worth 30% off. It does not expire. No other Sprung discount codes are currently valid.
Delivery
Sprung delivers across the UK. Flooring travels on a pallet by specialist courier to the kerbside; the courier phones to agree a delivery day, typically within 2–3 working days of dispatch. Stock items are dispatched within 1–5 working days, and the PRO tiles are listed for next-working-day dispatch. Delivery is free on UK mainland orders over £300; orders under £300 carry a £45 pallet charge. Surcharges apply to Northern Ireland, islands and some remote postcodes, as set out in the shipping policy. Small items and samples go by Royal Mail. Orders can be collected free from the Hillington warehouse. Destinations outside the UK are by enquiry.
Returns, damage and warranty
Unused, unlaid flooring can be returned within 30 days of purchase. Sprung can arrange collection for a £59 per-pallet return and restocking fee, deducted from the refund, which is paid to the original payment method within five working days of the goods arriving back. Installed flooring cannot be returned. Damaged or faulty goods must be reported within seven days of delivery with photographs and are replaced or refunded. Full terms are in the refund policy. Home orders and commercial projects
Home and garage gym orders are supplied direct from the online store; they are supply-only, with tiles designed to be laid by the customer. Commercial projects — gyms, studios, hotels, schools, equestrian yards, or any area of roughly 40m² or more — follow a different route: a free sample pack first, then a quote. The starting point is the sample request page; full gym fit-outs including installation are quoted through the gym fit-out page, and trade and wholesale accounts through the trade page. Sprung also owns a 50% share of SuperStrong Fitness, a sister brand for gym equipment.
What Sprung is not
Sprung does not offer a fitting service for home gym orders. It does not sell through Amazon or third-party marketplaces as its main channel. It does not run discount codes other than SPRUNG30. It does not recommend foam matting under free weights. It is not connected to any other company trading under a similar name.
