Customer Spotlight: Matt S Creates a High-Performance PT Studio with 20mm PRO Tiles & Red Uni Sled Track

Great Product, Great Service – Built to Last

Matt S recently completed a full flooring installation for his PT training studio using a combination of our 20mm Sprung PRO Gym Flooring and Red Uni Sled Track. The result? A highly functional, professional space ready for performance training, sled work, and everything in between.

“Great product and service. Took us two days to lay out as we had uneven flooring to deal with but was well worth it!”

Here’s how Matt made it happen — and why this setup works brilliantly for high-impact, multi-use gym environments.

Tackling a Tricky Subfloor

Matt’s studio is based in an older building, and like many such spaces, the subfloor wasn’t in great shape. There were uneven areas that needed attention before any flooring could go down.

While our 20mm Sprung PRO tiles are usually fine to fit directly onto most surfaces — including concrete, wood, and screed — in rare cases where the floor is particularly unstable or irregular, some subfloor preparation is recommended. In Matt’s case, this groundwork made all the difference, helping create a smooth, solid base for a long-lasting installation.

Why 20mm PRO Tiles Were the Right Choice

Once the surface was ready, the 20mm tiles were laid across the gym area, creating a robust, cushioned, and impact-resistant floor ideal for a PT environment. The thickness of the tiles offers excellent shock absorption, making them perfect for both functional training and heavy lifting zones.

With their tight compression fit and high-density rubber construction, these tiles help protect both equipment and subfloors, all while giving the space a clean, professional finish.

Red Uni Sled Track: Built for Performance

To complement the gym floor, Matt installed our Red Uni Sled Track, creating a dedicated sprint and sled zone. This turf surface is designed for traction, durability, and grip, giving clients the perfect lane for explosive movements and sled training. It also adds a splash of colour and focus to the gym layout, making the space more dynamic and versatile.

A Studio That Delivers on Every Level

Between the rugged 20mm tiles and the sled track, Matt now has a studio floor that can handle daily PT sessions, high-intensity circuits, sled drags, and more — all while keeping the space comfortable, clean, and safe.
